Bogdan (nee Marczenia), Beverly A.

Age 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at the River Crossing Nursing Home of Joliet. She was born on July 29, 1938 in Chicago to the late Stephen and Emily (nee Smith) Marczenia, and was a lifelong Joliet area resident. Bev was an avid bowler, painter, gardener and lover of all animals. She had families of raccoons, opossums, birds, squirrels, skunks and the occasional stray cat that visited her nightly to feast on the smorgasbord of nuts, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and cat food that she lovingly served up. She was our very own Dr. Dolittle. Beloved wife of the late Fred A. Bogdan (2008); loving mom of Rick (Stephanie) Bogdan of Florida, Delaine (Jim) Menietti of Joliet, and Steve (Cheryl) Bogdan of Plainfield; dear grandmother of Kylie, Keeghan, Samantha and Nicholas Bogdan, Jimmy (Cyndi), Kyle and Randi Menietti, and Noah (Katelyn), Jacob and Hannah Bogdan; great-grandmother to Rebekah, Caleb, Aidan, Lainie, and Zuri. Preceded in death by her husband; an infant daughter, Randy Marie; and her parents. A Memorial Service for Beverly A. Bogdan will be Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home chapel, Joliet. Family will receive friends and relatives from 3:00 p.m. until time of services.
