Beryl Blumeyer Obituary
Ankeny
Beryl Blumeyer, 91, of Ankeny, Iowa, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2012 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday August 27 at Resurrection Lutheran Church (914 NW Ash). A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Beryl Ada (Rossow) Blumeyer was born February 21, 1921 to Rudolph and Ida (Burmeister) Rossow. Beryl married the love of her life E.J. Blumeyer on December 9, 1942 in George, Iowa. They had five daughters, Barbara (Bob) Folkmann, Ames, IA; Beverly (Bob) Jass, Batavia, IL ; Jean (Larry) Long, Lake Wylie, SC ; Joan (Don) Huston, Boise, ID; and Amy (Randy) Roggenburg, Ankeny, IA.
Beryl is survived by her five daughters and their husbands; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, who will miss her wit, advice and ready smile. She is also survived by one sister, Marge (Duane) Thoelke, Forest City, IA; four nieces and their families. She was proceeded in death by her husband of 61 years, E.J.; her parents; one sister, Lorlie Miller; and one granddaughter, Johnna Folkmann-Ask.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Bible Institute, Lutheran Hour, and Mercy Hospice in Johnston.

Hi! We went to Millpond today and saw the information about Beryl's funeral. We were so sorry to learn about her passing away. When we went last week to visit her, we found out she was in the hospital--but it was probably rather hospice. We are also sorry we were a day late to find out and thus missed her service! I just wanted you to know we will continue thinking of your family. Brayden, my nephew really enjoyed visiting with Beryl and we will miss her! She was a sweet, sweet lady and very good to Brayden and my children as well! They loved to give Beryl hugs! You all take care! Deonne Winkel
