We are so sorry to hear about Cousin Bea. Auntie Florence called yesterday to let us know of her passing. She was a very special lady. She even touched the life of my best friend Dr. Shelley Peskin (OB/GYN). Shelley passed away in 2005 due to cancer and your mother held my
hand across the miles.
We love you all and will miss your mom. We always made time for her whenever we came to Chicago. She was my mother's beloved cousin and friend until her passing in 2003.Bernice and Al took many vacations with my parents. The stories they told were only too funny for words! Memories heal the wounds of death and may they always comfort all three of you. With Love and Sympathy-Marti, Les, Michelle and Howard Newman. Akron, Ohio

David & I only learned of Bernice's passing yesterday. We loved her. When Ruth moved to Chicago from Florida, Bernice was quick to welcome her and they became fast friends, our family's luck & good fortune. What a bright light she shone. Jackie please call when you are able. 847-242-9488 Love and much strength to all of you who are missing her. David & Rhonda Saaks and most of all, her friend Ruth Marmer

So sorry to hear the sad news about Cousin Bernice, or whom we always fondly referred to her as "Cousin Doctor B." Not only was she a very kind and caring cousin, but, like a lot of us in the family, she delivered me. It apparently wasn't easy, because I was in some distress while still in the womb and the worry was that the umbilical cord had wrapped around my neck. She stayed with my mother throughout the night, monitoring and making sure I was alright. Her presence was so reassuring to my mom. Fortunately, I was delivered without complication. You could say I owe my life to Cousin B. She will be deeply missed.

Condolences to her children, ....she was our Dr. for delivery of 3 of our 4 children,....she was a caring woman,...as I can recall vists to the hospital (Edgewater), as we would be following her while her white lab coat was flying with her rapid pace, as she was issuing orders to the staff,.. we were young then and always felt secure with her presence....and she would take the time to talk to us about herself and her family...... We are sure she had a full life with her family......Sincerely Dean and Donna Tinaglia
