Steinberg, Bernard Joseph 96, loving husband of Rose (nee Port), cherished father of Mel Steinberg and Mitzie (Stewart) Herman, adored grandfather of Andrew Herman and Karen (Jeffrey) Stepen, proud great grandfather of Ethan Matthew Stepen, brother of the late Herman Steinberg, the late Shirley (the late Harry) Kosovke, the late Ida (the late Ben) Yannow, the late Esther (the late Bernard) Sangerman and the late Rose (the late Joe) Robinson, brother-in-law of the late Sylvia (Hershey) Berson, the late Helen (the late Frank Petacque, the late Manuel Port and the late Alice Port. Graduate of Kellogg School of Northwestern University; past president of the Harry and Ida Port Memorial Auxilliary of the Northwest Home for the Aged. Devoted to his family and to charitable organizations. Funeral Service Thursday, 12 noon at Weinstein Funeral Home North Shore Chapel, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette. Interment Westlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Skokie Valley Hadassah or charity of one's choice appreciated. Info., 847-256-5700
