Dad I miss you dearly. I have very fond memories of our life together. I am so proud to be your son. I hope I can be half the father to Zachary as you were to me. You are forever in my heart. I love you daddy.

We always knew when we saw Bernie; we were in trouble.
He was a wonderful source of history and informtion, in the business. I have a great collection of quotes and stories that I will hold dear, and pass on through out the rest of my life. It is a comfort that he and my father are probably sitting down to a cup of coffee now. I am glad he was/is a part of my "family"!! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Dear Martha, Matthew and Thomas;

Joyce and I have known and loved Bernie for over twelve years. He sort of took us under his wing and helped us to become "carnies". It was so nice to meet his children and grand children at the services today. Bernie was so happy and proud to have grandchildren.

What a show of love and respect by so many people today for a man that will be very much missed by his wonderful family and the many true friends he leaves behind. All are in our prayers.

Martha,
Was really surprised to hear about Bernie passing. My heart goes out to you. At every carnival he will be remembered with fondness. I know I have fond memories of him all these years. Like a father to the "carnies". You and your family are in my prayers. Christels fish lady, Karen
