Bernadine, was called home to God on February 22, 2026 at the age of 91. Member of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth for the past 75 years. Beloved daughter of the late Stephen Wachowiak and late Cecilia nee Kendzierska. Predeceased by her brother Kenneth Wachowiak and sister Rita Wachowiak.. Many nieces and nephews. Sister Bernadine dedicated her life to the education ministry, serving as a teacher, principal, and later as the Director of Religious Education in schools and parishes throughout Chicagoland for 60 years. Visitation Tuesday February 24, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wake Service at 5:00 p.m. at the Provincialate 310 N. River Road Des Plaines IL Followed by her Funeral Mass of Resurrection at 6:30 p.m. at the Provincialate Interment All Saints Cemetery Memorials to Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth-USA Inc. appreciated.
