Our family offers our heartfelt condolences to the Sonenthal family. Barry was a wonderful man. He had a great sense of humor, and was engaging with everyone he met. Whenever I drove past PJ´s Trick Shop, or Sam Ash I always thought of Barry. He also came to mind whenever I heard a harmonica. He was a great barber and a family friend to me and my sons Patrick and Michael. He will be missed.

Elyse and family,
Sending you love and wishing you comfort. I wish words could ease your grief. Barry cut my hair for about 40 years, maybe even longer -- from young adulthood to old age for both of us -- and I can remember his conversation from that first cut. He was a singular personality, distinct in so many ways and devoted to whatever he touched -- barbering, baking, magic, art and of course, most of all to his family. After 40 years, I will miss the precision of his haircuts. I will miss his friendship even more.
