Barry McRaith Obituary

I worked for Barry in the early 80's. I really enjoyed working for him and with him. I have very fond memories of my time at Sethness-Greenleaf. My deepest sympathies to Barry's family and friends. I know he'll be greatly missed and very fondly remembered. May God bless all of you and give you strength to get through this difficult time.

I knew Barry though a program I have been affiliated with since 1978, Meet the Wilderness, a program to help teens at risk to develop personal, social, and leadership skills. Barry was a long time supporter and helped many inner city teens from the Chicagoland area experience the mountains of Colorado and find a new meaning to life. He will be greatly missed.

Condolences from an ex-cousin in law.

I will miss Barry terribly. He was a friend, a mentor, and a generous leader in his community. Blessings to his family and to all of the people he touched.

Kevin and family; I'm very sorry for your loss.

I lost my dad 20 years ago, and I learned that despite his death, he is part of my life every day. I'm sure that your dad will be with you as well.

Only the people who really knew Barry knew how much he did for others with jobs, support and his help. My late husband and I knew Barry and I will miss him terribly. My deepest sympathies to Debbie Oleson and her family and the McRaith family.

I'm so honored to have been very close to Barry. He was like a second father to me. This is truly a devastating time for all who had the honor of knowing him..and I'm sorry for the people who didn't cross paths with him.
He was such a wonderful man and I loved him dearly!! Sethness Greenleaf will not be the same without him, but we will try our hardest to make him proud!!
I will actually miss him yelling for me to get him some "fresh decaf!"

A great man with an infectious smile and an always ready handshake. He will be deeply missed.

As an outside Broker for Barry's Company, I had occasion to meet Barry a few times. In these meetings, I found him very appreciative of my efforts and a true gentleman.....Barry had very generous spirit. He was the leader of a fine and successful Company. His death comes a shock to me and leaves me saddened, and I pray that his Family are comforted by memories of the good times with their Dad.

To the McRaith, Maday, Hughes and McGowan families, I was saddened to hear yesterday about Barry's passing, and my heartfelt sympathies to all of you. I will remember him in my prayers at Mass this Christmas.

Barry was a good friend and great boss. He touched the lives of so many people in so many ways. He was our angel. Barry's goodness and generousity changed the lives of many who would have never been given an opportunity.

I was blessed, I had the priviledge and honor of knowing him for almost 20 years.
