Deon Trowbridge Obituary
He was born December 28, 2003, in Bryan, Texas.
Deon was adopted by Melinda Trowbridge in Ohio, and became a part of her family. After living in Ohio, they moved Pleasant Lake, Indiana, and he had lived there for most of his life.
He lived life to the fullest, and always had a smile. He loved music, and music gave him much joy.
He loved toys, and especially toys that made music. He took his first ride on a John Deere tractor at age 4, and he had been in every parade in the surrounding area since age 4, riding on a tractor with his grandfather, or riding in the wagon.
Survivors include his mother, Melinda J. Trowbridge of Pleasant Lake, Ind.; three siblings at home, Derreck Trowbridge, Amber Trowbridge and Jared Trowbridge; his grandparents, Charlie and Susan Young of Pleasant Lake, Ind.; a great-grandmother, Carmen Ragan of Kokomo, Ind.; two uncles, Michael and Becky Young of Ashley, Ind., and Matthew and Stephanie Young of Pleasant Lake, Ind. Several cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Lawrence and Margaret Young and Lester Ragan; and a cousin, Wyatt Young.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Beams Funeral Home in Fremont, Ind.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 22, 2013, at Beams Funeral Home in Fremont, with Pastor Donna Holcomb officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery at Pleasant Lake, Ind.

I am sorry I could not be present with you today but know I was there in my heart. I watched the video today, what a lovely tribute to the person Deon was! I will always remember his rocking, clapping, his love of music and his expressive eyes. I admired the quiet and unending strength you and your mother personified at his bedside. And Grandpa's presents for you all! May the love of your family and friends support you now and always. It has been an honor to know you and to serve you and Deon in whatever way I can.

To Deon's family, I am saddened to learn of Deon's passing. I had the pleasure of meeting him when he would come into Walmart and i was the People Greeter. I was immediately drawn to him and when i spoke to him he took my hand and held it to his face and flashed that smile. After that very first time of meeting, every time i saw him and called his name he would again take my hand. Deon was truly a gift from the Good Lord and he will be forever in my heart. God grant this child the Peace he so richly deserves and God Bless his family and give them Peace as well. God speed, Deon, you are one of my Angels and will be missed.
