We knew Beck for 30 years. She was a kind and caring person who loved life, persevered through hardship and brought joy to others. We will miss her but are comforted by the assurance she is now in heaven, able to finally rest in the loving hands of her God.

I worked for Becky at Publications International, and enjoyed her company and her often wicked sense of humor. Blessings to Rich and the rest of her family and colleagues. She won't be forgotten.

Back in the summer when I was working on the 365 Things To Do Before You Go To Heaven perp.cal., Doug suggested that I send a mass company email to see who in-house had something to contribute. The response was tremendous, contrary to my expectations.

One person who apparently didn't get the initial email was Becky Bell. Somehow or another she got word of the project and fired off a series of emails to me, asking about how it was going, what kind of response I was getting, and finally, if she could contribute. I said "By all means!"

Here are the sugestions she sent in:

Pay your library fines.

Eat dessert first--at least once.

When the loved one of a friend passes on, go to your friend. Inviting them "to stop by anytime" isn't very appealing to a person who's depressed and struggling to get out of bed every day.

Know someone in the hospital? Offer to baby-sit, pack lunches, iron, help the kids with their homework--the list is endless, so base it on something that you do well and feel comfortable doing.

Have a pedicure.

Get your hair done just for fun. No reason necessary! It can be a real pick-me-up any time of the week.

Have pie for breakfast.

Invite your girlfriends for a pajama party. Watch movies, play cards, eat popcorn, do each other's hair or nails, pass around women's magazines for everyone's perusal.

Be a secret Santa.

(With their parent’s permission), take some neighborhood children for ice cream. Or let the treats be on you when the ice cream truck comes by.

We will all miss Becky dearly. Though I didn't know her as well as I would have liked, she was always a delight to work with, composed of charm, grace and beauty. The office will not be the same now that she's gone. Her courage and strength were an inspiration that will never be forgotten.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Becky's passing. In my short time at PIL Becky was a wonderful mentor to me---always encouraging, kind, and generous. She certainly made a lasting impact on everyone she took under her wing. She will be missed but always remembered and cherished.

Deep condolences to the family of Ms. Bell. What a giving person she was. She will never be forgotten. He work, workmates, friends and family will ever pass her memory and thoughts on. God(Psalms 83:18) provides comfort to all mourning ones. 2Corinthians 1:3,4-" God and Father of Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation." Take comfort.
