Audrey Spencer Obituary

SPENCER, AUDREY IONE 1932 - 2005. Audrey Ione Spencer died Dec 21, 2005. She was born in Bemidji, Minn on July 27, 1932, the eighth of 13 children to Clifford and Ida Votendahl. Raised in Walla Walla, Wash, she graduated from St Patrick's High School where she met John D Spencer. They married on July 5, 1952, and moved to Portland where she was a homemaker. After their divorce in 1967, she worked 27 years for Farmers Insurance in Portland, Arizona, and California while continuing her education through community colleges. She traveled across Europe, Asia, and the states. Her favorite pastimes were reading, dancing, Bingo, and watching all sports. She was a wonderful mother and sister, devoted to family and friends, with a giving nature and a great sense of humor. Survivors include her brothers, Robert, Glenn, Kenneth, Jerry, and Richard Votendahl; sister, Darlene Hanford; daughters, Tehresa Spencer and Merry Skuse; sons, Richard L and Steven P; and son-in-law, Tony DaSilva; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
