Chippas, Athanas "Tom" beloved husband of Denise (nee Safrithis), loving father of Penelope (John) Sullivan, William (Daniela) and Anthony, proud grandfather of Nicholas, Michael and Jack. Visitation Friday, 10 a.m. to Noon at The Original Rago Brothers Funeral Home, 7751 W. Irving Park. Funeral service at Noon. Interment Irving Park Cemetery. 773-276-7800. Please omit flowers.

Denise, I am so sorry.He was my "guaradian angel" at MONY. He was such a good friend to me; I certainly will be sad to know he will not be around any more. He thought highly of my children; he will be missed.

Tom was a great life insurance professional and a good friend. He was an incredibly important part of the creation of the Aetna General Agency in Oakbrook and later, the Aetna agency in San Jose, CA.
An early memory of Tom was the first interview he had when I was along for training purposes. He proceeded to conduct the entire interview in Greek -- which was, truly, "Greek" to me!
He will be missed by clients and insurance agents who have been touched by his vast knowledge of the product and his remarkable sales ability. He was a credit to the life insurance industry.
