I am Arthur's sister's son ( Josephine ), my middle name is Arthur, after my Uncle Art. My Uncle Art would visit when driving through with his truck. Some times he would take me to Chicago with him. I have many excellent memories of my uncle. I am sorry he passed on, but he lived a long and rich life. God bless you Uncle Art and I will see you when I get there. With Love, your nephew, Rolly

As a child, I used to believe Uncle Arthur lived in some faraway place. As I grew older, he took me to Chicago. He wasn't so far away after all. He was always concerned about us, Ma, and made sure he was a part of our lives. He knew how to talk to kids. He was genuine.
I have the rocker he bought me when I was 2 years old. I have the table he bought when we were small toddlers. The chairs are long gone, but I use that little table.
My fondest memories are when he was coming through town, would park at the top of the road, and walk down to the house for a meal. He lived far away, but he made sure he saw us frequently.
He would drive 8 hours to be there for Wendy's birthday parties when she was a baby. He is the best uncle I have. I am so saddened, and will miss him desperately.
Words cannot begin to say the deepest things I feel. But even in your sorrow, may you find God's presence real.
Love to you all,
Karen and Pete
