Arthur Chick Obituary

Chick Jr., Arthur D. beloved son of the late Arthur Sr. and Florence (nee Chmela) Chick, loving brother of Mary Swanson, cherished companion of Frances Sojo, fond uncle of Eve Phillips and Diane Robben. Art was a devoted friend of many people in the Canaryville Neighborhood. A retired 35 year employee of the Chicago Public Schools and a former teacher at the Graham Elementary School where he taught for many years and influenced the lives of thousands of Graham School graduates, and a member of the Lake in the Woods Club in Valparaiso Indiana. Funeral Thursday, 9:15 a.m. from Thomas McInerney's Sons Funeral Home, 4635 South Wallace St. (46th Place at McInerney's Corners), to St. Gabriel Church for Mass of the Resurrection at 10 a.m. Visitation Wednesday, 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. 773-268-0703.

Sorry to here about Mr. Chick passing. He had my two sons in his class and he was a great teacher. Sorry I could not make the service, but I rarly come down to the old neighborhood. He will be missed.

Art was a longtime good friend of my Dad, Bill Harper who passed away in 1999. Art attended several family functions with my Dad and I remember him quite well. I am sorry to hear of his passing and extend my condolences.
