I still think about Art everyday since his untimely passing. The things I remember are the trips to Washington, Williamsburg, The Cottage, and the get togethers at 114TH and Union and Aunt Florence famous sour cream pancakes! I also remember the Heartsfield concert at Eastern Illinois University when I was there. Art was always so kind and considerate of “us” younger kids and made us feel so comfortable even though he was 3 years older than I am. The last time I spoke with Art was in 2004 before I moved to Arizona. It was like we never lost touch. I’m sorry I couldn’t come in for the wake because I just had surgery. My best to Leslie and the family.

I´ve known Art my whole life. From the Wildcats, 8th grade graduation party, the Stepchildren, Heartsfield, Big Moose Gako and 13 roses - to playing with Eddie at my wedding reception. Wonderful memories we will always have. Will miss you, Arturo. Leslie and Sue, much love and sympathy to you and your families.

I was friends with Artie in high school. Mendel Catholic. We sat next to each other in many classes. We always talked about music and girls. Artie learned how to drive in my 1959 Plymouth. We drove around the Mendel campus about ten times. He said it was the first time he drove. He borrowed my Fender Bassman amp for a gig at the Valley view teen club. He said he wanted to have a big wall of amps. God bless you Artie. Wish we had the social network back in our days we could have stayed in touch. One last memory. Artie said he loved country rock and that's what I'm gonna play. And you did a great job Artie. Rest in heavinly peace..

Condolences to the family. I enjoyed the early music the group put together, particularly their first album. May Artie, along with JC and Greg Rest In Peace, as he maybe create more music now that a few members are together again.
