I have a special place in my heart for Uncle Wils. One day when we were visiting Aunt Fuzzy and Uncle Cline, he sat down next to me with his box and told me to pick anything out of it. Apparently, that's not something unique to me -- he was generous with everyone. However, there is something unique about him and me that I love: he was just like my Poppa. When he died too young, I had comfort in knowing Uncle Wils because they were so similar. They looked the same, talked the same, acted the same, were both generous, kind, funny, stubborn, and stood up for what was right. I will miss Uncle Wils, but I'm glad he's with my granddaddy now and with others who have gone before him. We are lucky to have such men in our family. God bless, Uncle Wils.

Uncle Wils will always be in my heart. His boys were his pride, his girls his flowers. Every year when the flowers bloom, I will remember him. Heaven is smiling.

What can I say about Wilson. He has been apart of my life now since I was 13 years old. I was the first of many daughter-in-laws to pass thru the Joyce family. Wilson enjoyed his boys, however his girls brought a twinkle to his eyes. I remember christmas the best around the Joyce family. The togetherness the love. They have always made me feel like a part of their family... and they will always be a part of mine. Lou Ann

I learned many life lessons from Grandaddy! One of the foremost in my mind, after having Sydnee, I wondered how in the world Grandma and Grandaddy raised 6 children. So I asked how did you do it Grandaddy? He replied, "those were the best days of my life!" We will miss you!! Kim, Scott & Sydnee

Dear Dad,

You know I was always proud to be your son and always will.

I'm sure your'e sitting at a big table with Ducky, your Dad, all your brothers and sisters, brother in laws, sister in laws and aunts and uncles that have gone before you. You have Spunky on one knee and Ginger on the other. There are several empty seats at that table reserved for all your loved ones you left behind. I'll be there with you one day. You will never be far from my thoughts, Happy Fathers Day.

Love you always,

Burt

P.S. St Peter lost his ring and wanted only the best to help him find it.

How do you sum up 30 years in just a paragraph? So many memories, that jeep ride on that narrow Exxon pier, you laughed so hard at my terror, all the times you came to get JJ in the red wagon, the big candles on the front porch at Christmas time, the many times you called Kasey your old fashioned baby. I could go on and on but where would I stop? We will all miss you, you were ready to go but we weren't ready to let you go. I know you are in a better place, the Braves will never lose another game and the sun will never set on the beach again. I loved you always.
