Anthony Tamburo Obituary

Tamburo, Anthony M. age 44, passed away December 22nd, at the Greek American Rehabilitation and Nursing Centre in Wheeling, after a long battle with a brain tumor. Beloved son of Anthony H. and Tulla Tamburo, cherished brother of Michael (Nina) and Linda (Steve) DiVito, grandson of Concetta and the late Antonino Tamburo and the late William and Stamatina Eliopoulos, dear nephew of Helen (Jim) Williams, Sam J. Tamburo and Sister Theresa Tamburo, loving uncle of Stephen, Nicholas, Jonathan, Jessica, Michael and Wendi, fond cousin of many. Anthony was an avid bowler. Visitation Friday, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave. Funeral Saturday, 10 a.m., from the funeral home, to St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church, 2350 W. Dempster St. (at Tristate 294), Des Plaines, for funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements by: John G. Adinamis Funeral Director, LTD. 773-736-3833
