Salvati family,
I have known your dad for almost thirty years, having met him when I worked at McCormick place. He was always a good friend and gave me some very good advice when I changed jobs to join the CPD. He always talked about his children with such great pride. He also spoke about his friend , Andy, and how much he missed him and cared for him. Tony has kept up the latest news of the CPD with me, ever telling me how much he liked his police job. I will miss him. I bet he is waxing cars somewhere in heaven.

Tony Salvati was my life-long friend. We met way back in 1963 and I knew his Mom, Sister. We both worked for the then Carson's wear-house store on Cicero Ave. We both went on the Chicago Police Dept. at the same time - I helped him study for his weekly Academy tests there on O'Brien Street. Along with our wives, we went to Las Vegas and were constant dinner partners. I loved Tony, he had a beautiful, dry, sense of humor, and always fun to be with. May God bless Tony in Heaven - I will have a Mass said for him at our Catholic Church. Rest in peace Tony, I love you man. Take a well deserved furlough Copper! You were a great friend, our love to Tony's kids, Renee & Anthony. I knew you both when you were kids. Mr. Mrs. Andy & Ann Jillian Murcia, Sherman Oaks, Ca. formerly of Chicago.
