I knew Tony at Marist in the 1970s. He was very proud of his father who was a stylist for Chrysler. Tony was always willing to pitch in when help was needed coaching various sports even if he was initially unfamiliar with those sports. He dedicated his life to education and influenced many lives.

What a blessing to have known Mr. Manfre. He was a great coach, teacher and person. My son looked up to him as a role model at Carmel. I am glad to know he has joined his wife in heaven. God Bless Mr. Manfre. His legacy lives on.

Sorry to hear about Tony - he was a good storyteller.
Many might associate Tony with coaching football, but two of his greatest successes in athletics weren't on the gridiron, though.
He coached Andre Love at St. Joseph to an individual state championship in the high jump in track and Demond Rodez to a third-place at heavyweight in wrestling.
He will be greatly missed.

Mr. Manfre is in many of my happy memories at carmel. He was an awesome teacher who taught more than just academics he shared his knowledge on life, and I use his teachings daily. He will be missed greatly.

Saddened to see Tony's name today..we had great days at St Philips High school in the late 60's...until the school closed. The years have passed so quickly and I can still see his smiling face on the football field and in the classroom. And I remember many laughing get-togethrs with the Dunn family, too. My regards and hopes for the family Ed Schurz

People say, God takes only the Good Ones young, Well, Tony wasn't a Good one , He was a Great One. He was my friend and a second Father to me, and I'm going to miss him very, very much. I'm so happy I had a chance to give him a hug and a kiss, a couple of weeks ago. I have so many good memories of Tony and I will cherish every one of them. I hope God understands, He took a Great One from us.
Tony, I know you're not in pain anymore...you don't need any gambling system now, now you can play all the blackjack you want and not lose any money....I'm going to miss you my friend

His first year teaching and coaching football was my first year at Marist H.S. in 1972. He coached me my freshman year of football and taught me in my mechanical drawing class. He was a great guy, great coach and great teacher. Sorry for your loss and Coach Manfre & your family will be in my prayers.

I am sorry to hear of Tony's passing. He is not suffering any more and is in a place with his wife and family members. We all loved Tony. He had such a great personality and was very friendly. I was fortunate to know him through the marriage of my cousin Kay for a long time and have a lot of good memories of him over the years. He will be missed.
