Anthony Jara Obituary

Jara, Anthony A. "Tony" Age 85, proud Veteran of World War II. Was born into eternal life on September 15, 2001. He was the beloved husband of the late Irene (nee Kowalczyk) and a wonderful, devoted and loving father of Dorothy (Mike) Gorski, Lester Jara and Laurie (Paul) Swigart. He loved and was loved by his grandchildren, Michael, Marcyrene Gorski, James, Hayley and Tony Swigart and the late Mary Ann Puckett. He was the dear brother of Josephine (the late Harold) Haibeck, Walter (Alice) Jara, the late Steve (Helen) Jara, the late Dora and Stanley Fortuna and the late Tillie and Jim Lubinski, brother-in-law of Adeline (Richard) Rusin, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. He enjoyed being a member of the Pinczow Group and the St. Simon's Senior Club. Visitation Tuesday, 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Zimmerman & Sandeman Funeral Home, 5200 W. 95th St., Oak Lawn (Theis-Gorski Funeral Home handling arrangements.) Service Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Gerald Church for 11 a.m. Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
