Giedraitis, Anthony P. October 5, 2004, age 95, devoted husband of Alvina Giedraitis (nee Benaitis), loving father of Anita Nambo (fiance Richard Postillion), Christine Dorman, Marie (Rick) Hazen, Anthony (Carol) Giedraitis, Simonetta (Leonard) Pacek, Patricia Giedraitis and the late Bernadette Giedraitis, cherished grandfather of 16, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Anthony is also survived by many other relatives and friends. Visitation Friday, 1 to 9 p.m., at the Petkus Lemont Funeral Home, 12401 S. Archer Ave. (at Derby Rd.), Lemont. Visitation Saturday, 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., at Nativity B.V.M. Church, 2700 W. 69th St., in Chicago. Interment St. Casimir Lithuanian Cemetery. Anthony was a member of Don Varnas American Legion Post #986, Knights of Lithuania C-112, and the American Lithuanian Musicians Alliance. Anthony was a devout Catholic, devoted husband, father and grandfather. He attained the rank of corporal in the U.S. Army in WWII. He was an organist for religious services of all denominations. Music was his life. A noted organist, choir director, musician, vocalist and composer, he worked for churches in Chicago, Rhode Island, New Jersey and Indiana.
