Happy 50th birthday in Heaven my love!
May 24, 2015
Hey, Bubba, another birthday, another Memorial Day spent without being able to celebrate with you. They all said it world get easier and that time heals all wounds, still waiting. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you 100 times. I will never get over you or our life together. No one will ever understand or love me like you did. Happy 44th birthday in heaven, my "Dioguardian Angel".

Well Bubba it feels like you have really come through for me. The last year and a half have been insane and there were many days when i didnt know how to keep going but things are finally getting good again and we are finally able to enjoy our beautiful family. Thank you for listening to me each and every night over the last year or so, I know there were nights that you wanted to tell me to shut up and quit complaining but you helped me push through. I am so thankful to have such a wonderful Guardian Angel on my side. I miss you dearly every single moment of every single day. I LOVE YOU!
Now, could you help me win the lottery, I promise I will share with everyone.

Dave, Eileen, and all of my beautiful Sisters:
I am thinking of all of you, especially today, and I am sharing in the pain all of you feel. I miss Bubba so much and I am so grateful for the 12 years we had together. Thank you for helping him become the wonderful person he was. I will never be able to express how important he is to me or how very much I miss him. May God be with you today and always.
Love, Mosey

Bubba,
I have missed you. Many days and many nights. Why do I feel the need tonight to reach out to you? Because you reached out to me. Today is your godson's 29th birthday and can you believe he told me he feels old? Can you believe it? As I pondered this you sent me a song, "Forever Young". I don't know how you knew this song was dear to my heart since my babies were babies, but I truly believe you did. Maybe it was because Dave had it played at his wedding, maybe it was because you saw me react to it at some point in my life. I don't know how you knew, I just know you sent it to me and I am grateful. I am not pleased that I haven't stopped crying since I heard it, but I am pleased that you reached out to me and made me know that you still are watching over my baby. And for that I am truly grateful.
I love you!

Tony - Today you would not believe is but I sit here and ponder my first hosted sisters night and I cannot help but think it is your intervention. All nine of us sisters in my home. You were the first to visit me in my own home. Never in a million years would I have thought everyone would drop their lives to come be with me. Thank you for your help in bringing me soooo much closer to my sisters. I miss you dearly and think of you often...Thank you for your presence in my life!
Love, Suzy!

To all of my wonderful friends and family:
I am without words to express the sincere gratitude I have for all of you. The love and support you have shown me over the past year (and always) has, quite literally, saved my life! I struggle with Tony's loss every day and with your help I have started mending the pieces of my broken heart. I thank you more than I could ever express for your many kindnesses.

Dear Tony,
A whole year has gone by,
And I still cry.
You were a Husband,Son,Uncle and Brother,
And a friend like no other.
A whole year since you parted,
And I'm still broken hearted.
Each and every day I pray,
Since the Good Lord took you away.
I pray He will keep us in His Grace,
Until we meet again face to face.
I love you and miss you. Mom

One year later and yet it still feels like just yesterday that my world was shattered and forever changed. I have missed my brother Tony more than I can even express. Looking over the guestbook from so many wonderful people whose lives were somehow touched by Tony, it is not difficult to imagine how greatly the world misses Tony too.
Tony, I long for your smiles, your laughter and your unbelievable zest for life. There are so many times I swear that I saw you.... although no one could ever be who you were. It is just me longing to see you again. I have a quote that I look to for some comfort....Heaven has in store what thou has lost! I have to believe that I will be with you, Tony once again. But how sad my life is without you here on earth.
I want to thank you for the pennies you toss down to me and the kids (they especially love it). Thanks for playing our song always at the right moment. Thank you for sneaking into my dreams to let me know you are here with me. Please continue to keep watch over me and the rest of our family as we continue to struggle with the permanance of your loss.

Baby Boy- Merry Christmas! It is your 1st Christmas with God and our 1st without you. I miss you so very much. I treasure the morning we spent a year ago, waiting for everyone to come to your house. I keep thinking about when you were little and how much you loved Christmas Day. I think about the big smile when someone would open a gift that you selected for them. You were truly a Santa Claus in disguise. I love you and miss you every day. Love, Mom

Tony:
I can't stop thinking of you. We just found out that we lost our dear friend, Kris, also at too young of an age. We lost touch with her several years ago, but the loss is still tremendous. And then our song came on my iPod out of the blue today. I loaded songs from Joe's iTunes and put my iPod on shuffle and it just played. I must have a couple hundred songs on it, and "We Are Family" is the one that came up, and I didn't even know I had it on the iPod. I feel like you are trying to tell me that Kris is with you. But, all I feel is the pain of the loss of both of you. I sometimes feel that I will never heal. I love you so much and miss you terribly.

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Dioguardi, Maureen and all the Dioguardi sisters,
I have wanted to write this message for a long time. I think about you often & pray that God's love for you & Tony is made visible in this time of suffering, & that you may feel comfort & peace.
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Well my beloved Bubba, It has been almost a year since you helped me grieve the loss of Vicky and I so need you right now. I know many people are probably reading this but I don't know where else to go. It is so hard seeing that you understood mine and vicky's relationship more than anyone else in the world and I really need you to be by my side right now. My wedding is right around the corner and it is horrible that you will not physically be there but I know that you and my girl will be dancing in heaven and partying with the rest of us. I love you so much and am so very lost right now. Please hold me up and help me through this. You were are always my strength even when we were apart because I have always known that you would always protect, comfort and save me from anything that I was dealing with, all I had to do was call. Well I am calling you now. Come to my aide big bro. I miss you and love you.

Anthony,
I always knew you as Tony. I only
knew you for a short period of time,
but the memories I have of you are
that of a happy young man. You were
always smiling. You touched more
lives in your 35 years than most
people could in 1000. I know God
will keep you in his arms. You take
care and we will see you later. I am
sure you will have a smile for us
when we do.
Maureen,
We have never met, but I wanted to
offer my condolences to you. I am
sure you are a person with a big
heart just like Tony. Birdsof a feather do flock together. Stay
strong.
Mr. and Mrs. Dioguardi and family,
You may not remember me, but I
remember you and your family. Some
of the most memorable times of my
life were spent with you. I would
like to offer my condolences to you.
I am sure you know you raised a fine
young man. I knew he was a good
kid back in 1984, and with your
guidance he could only get better.
He will be missed by all.

Well, Baby Boy, this is the day that you were waiting for. We all knew that you were going to be at the Superbowl Game, but we did not know that you were going to be on the field helping Brian, Rex and the other players to get this far. Now you only have the big game to get them through and then you can rest. We all love you and miss you. GO BEARS!!! Mom

January 23, 2007
Well, Tony, you got your wish...the Bears are going to the Super Bowl!! I have attached my eulogy to Tony, that I delivered at his funeral mass...we all miss you, "little bro"!!
On behalf of my sister Maureen and the entire Moriarty family, I would like to thank you all for the love and warm wishes you have extended over the last several days.
Everyone who knows Tony knows he’s one of 9 Dioguardi kids, that he has 8 sisters and no brothers. I’ve got a slightly different take on that.
When Ed Murray came along and married Eileen, Tony got the older brother he never had. After that, Tom, Tim, Joe, Chris, Rich and David, and soon Adrian, all became like Tony’s brothers. And when Tommy and David came along, they were also like Tony’s brothers. In fact, all of Tony’s nephews could be considered to be his little brothers.
And the Dioguardi family is so close, that all of Tony’s cousins and uncles are also like his brothers. When Tony married Maureen, we like to say he became the 5th Moriarty brother. With apologies to all of Tony’s older sisters, I like to think I’m the only one here who can actually call Tony my “little brother”. I just wanted to let you all know that I loved Tony like a brother, as I’m sure you all did as well.
Maureen gave Tony a plaque for Christmas that was called a “Motto to Live By” that Tony really seemed to enjoy and that I’d like to share with you now.
Motto to Live By
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming:
“WOO HOO, what a ride!”
Well, even though it was much too short of a ride, Tony sure did have one heckuva ride.

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Dioguardi, Maureen and all the Dioguardi sisters,
Words cannot even begin to express how deeply sorry I was to hear about the loss of your Tony. I was a bridesmaid in Mo and Tony's wedding and as a result of that honor, I got to witness first-hand the closeness of your family and deep love for each other through all the events leading up to that special day. Tony had so many amazing qualities, but the two that stand out most in my mind were his love of life and incredible generosity. We will miss him immensely and remember him always. Please know through your stories and fond memories, Tony will always be alive in your hearts ... and one day you will all be together again.
Love & Strength,

"STILL HERE" (By an Unknown Author)
I stood by your bed last night, I came to have a peep.
I could see that you were crying. You found it hard to sleep.
I whispered to you softly as you brushed away a tear.
It’s me, I haven’t left you, I’m well, I’m fine, I’m here.
I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea,
You were thinking of the many times your hands reached out to me.
I was with you at the shops today, Your arms were getting sore.
I longed to take your parcels, I wish I could do more.
I was with you at my grave today, You tend it with such care.
I want to reassure you that I’m not lying there.
I walked with you towards the house as you fumbled for the key.
I gently put my hand on you. I smiled and said “it’s me.”
You looked so very tired and sank into a chair.
I tried so hard to let you know that I was standing there.
It’s possible for me to be so near you every day.
To say to you with certainty, “I never went away.”
You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew...
In the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you.
The day is over...I smile and watch you yawning.
And say “good night, God bless, I’ll see you in the morning.”
And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide,
I’ll rush across to greet you and we’ll stand side by side.
I have so many things to show you, there’s so much for you to see.
Be patient, live your journey out...then come home to be with me."

To the Dioguardi and Moriarty Families as well as the friends of Tony and his family:
On behalf of Tony, I want to express my gratitude at the overwhelming love and support shown to me and for Tony over the past few days. I am truly humbled by the enormous crowd of people who came to the wake, the funeral, and both. I was amazed. I knew how truly special Tony was, but I don't think he would have ever suspected how much he is loved and how much he will be missed.
I would like to thank my brothers and sisters, Martin, Mary, John, Pat, Jim and Tim, as well as Mary Jean, Carol, Ingrid and especially Lee (fill the pop already, will ya?) and our 12 nieces and nephews for all of their loving support without whom I would not have gotten through this tragedy. Although we do not choose our families, I am grateful because I could not have chosen a better family to be a part of. I love you all very much and thank you for all that you have done.
I would also like to thank Mom and Pops, Ed and Ei, Denise and Tom, Marge and Tim, Domani and Joe, Mary and Chris, Elly and Rich, Suzy and Dave, and Sara and Adrian as well as our 19 nieces and nephews (and the 3 on the way). No one could ever ask for a better support system. You are a tremendous family that I am grateful to be a part of. I love and cherish each and every one of you.
Mary Ann, Gaby, Noreen, Pix, Rock, Denise, Kathy Duf, Patti, Kimmy, Joanie, Julie, Peggy, Colleen, Aunt Madeline, Meghan, Cathy, Donna, Laura, Gloria, Chad, Kevin, and "Uncle Buck", you will never know how much your love and support has meant to me over the last few days and always. God Bless all of you.
I would also like to thank my family in External Operations for all of the love, support, well wishes, phone calls and prayers. Words cannot suffice to express the gratitude I feel for working with such a wonderful group of friends. Your support helped to get me through this very difficult time. Thank you all so much.

It is with a heavy heart that I must write this note. I remember growing up with you and all the good times we have shared. From times at the lake, christmas dinners, or just having a few good laughs while playing cards. You were always one who could bring a smile to my face. You were so lucky to have a family that loved you and a wife who cherished you. It pains me to see the hurt in their eyes at having to say goodbye. It is my hope that fond memories will help heal the hurt. All my love, Until we meet again...

No one can put into words the sadness and pain that we all feel from losing you, Tony.
And no one can explain to us the joy and happiness that you are now feeling being where you are.
I hope that you're golfing with Nick and Uncle Rich, enjoying a plate of jump-around spaghetti with Gram and catching up with all of our loved ones. It probably feels like being dealt a royal flush every hand!
We will miss you and love you forever.
Your cousin, Paula Poo

Dear Maureen and the entire Dioguardi family; I am so sorry to hear of Tony's passing. Even though I had not seen him in a very long time, I was fortunate to know Tony throughout grade school. I remember Tony as someone with a big personality and was a lot of fun to be around. I am truly saddened by the news. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

To my big brother,
A friend like no other,
Words cannot express how I feel.
You taught me to play,
How to enjoy everyday,
I cannot believe this is real.
You will remain in my heart,
Where you have been everyday from the start,
My wish now is one more minute with you to steal!
I love you with all my soul!

To My Family:
As my heart breaks along with yours, I just want all of you to know how much I love each and every one of you. It is impossible to imagine that I will never see Tony again! We have been very fortunate over the years to have had so many good times as a family, and we are also fortunate still to have each other to help us through this unimaginable loss. Mom and Dad have nine daughters to love and hold them, and our sister Maureen has a little piece of Bubba in all of us to hold onto. If there is one thing that I know all of us can be sure of, my little brother loved his wife and all of his family more than anything in the world, and we are very lucky that he was never afraid to show that or tell any of us.
I know we will all survive this because we now have the biggest angel in heaven (and the loudest) to watch over all of us. I know someone else said when he hears thunder he will know it is Tony bowling in heaven. I think we will all know that it will just be Tony saying Hello!
All My Love,
Domani Maria

To Maureen; Eileen and Dave; Denise, Tom and kids; and all of Tony's family:
Please accept our sincere condolences at your heartbreaking loss. No words can truly comfort you, but hopefully knowing that so many people are thinking of you will help during these difficult days.
Tony was 'bigger than life' - full of enthusiasm and opinions, funny and frank, a grownup when necessary, but a kid at heart. He was always kind and welcoming to us whenever we saw him. Myles remembers one of the times he saw Tony many years ago - he was on the floor at Denise and Tom's house with some of the kids, coloring pictures, because he said he loved to color! No doubt it was also because he loved being with the kids, something that continued throughout his life.
May your many wonderful memories of Tony, and the love you shared, sustain you.
