Mama, You are so dearly missed each and every day that goes by. It's comforting to know that you are in a much greater place than any of us, free from any pain and suffering. Your children know you stayed long enough to make sure that we would be all right. We promised you that we would. All I have to do is look in the dictionary and look up the word Mom and I see your picture because you are, was, and will always be the perfect mother always sharing your love for your children. I also looked up the word wife and saw your picture because you lived that part of your life as a perfect example of what a wife should be (Oh what a lucky man Dad was!). But most importantly, I looked up the word friend and saw the most beautiful picture because as our mother, you were the best friend a person could have, never ever saying a harsh word to anyone or about anyone. I'll always remember when I was down, just by talking to you I would feel so much better. I'll miss all of the great times we had and I will cherish them forever.
Mama, you were all of these things and much, much more but most of all; you were a child of GOD and you proved that just by the way you lived. Thanks so much for being my Mom and my best friend. By the turn out at your service, it was quiet evident that you were loved by all. You gave so much and never asked for anything in return. Thank you so much for everything. Here is something I feel like you are telling all of us:
NEVER FAR AWAY by Mary M. Green
I'm gone now, but I'm still very near.
Death can never separate us.
Each time you feel a gentle breeze,
It's my hand caressing your face.
Each time the wind blows,
It carries my voice whispering your name,
When the wind blows your hair ever so slightly,
Think of it as me pushing a few stray hairs back in place.
When you feel a few raindrops fall on your face,
It's me placing soft kisses.
At night look up in the sky and see the stars shining so brightly.
I'm one of those stars and I'm winking at you and smiling with delight.
For never forget you're the apple of my eye.
I love you forever and always,
Your son, Jerry

MaMa, I can't express how much I miss you. You gave us a gift on march 15th at 3:03 pm, when you let us see you leave our world here on earth and go to heaven with the Lord and Dad which you truly deserve because of your Kindness,Love,Faithfullness and all your good works throughout your entire life. I called you the glue for our family because you always no matter what the problem was you held us all together. I know you were the main reason that Dad and we children found christianity. I only hope and pray that Glenda,Monte,Jerry and myself can live the rest of our lives like you lived your entire life. When I see the word "LOVE", I have to think of you because you loved us more than any of us could ever imagine. Mama, I can't tell you enough how much I love you. There's not one thing I would change in the way that you brought us up. One thing I promise that Glenda, Monte, Jerry and myself will always love one another as you have always loved us. There is a empty place in my heart that only you can fill and someday I know you will fill it again in Heaven. Mom, I love you so much and miss you terribly.
your best looking and favorite child, Lee

My Dearest Friend Richard:
I was so sorry to hear about your dear mother and was so glad I could be with you. I remember how kind she always was to my daughter Christy, who thought of her as another grandmother. Christy has often spoke of the Sunday dinners she enjoyed with your family. It is truly a loss when our parents are gone forever--The only people who loved us unconditionally. I know you will miss her as I miss mine. They are probably getting aquainted right now in heaven.

Granny Annie had many hats. She loved them - She always wore fun loving hats on her vacations as many of the pictures portrayed that we shared with family and friends. She had many names too! - She was Momma, Granny, Granny Ann, Granny Annie, Annie, Annie Laurie, Great Granny (and some variations like “Grek Granny)! She was the lunchroom lady, the church lady, she was Miss Ann, - Granny Annie wore hats for each one of these names - and all those hats fit perfectly!
Granny loved life - she was the best friend to ALL her friends, she was the faithful and loving wife, she was the Mama that made each one of her children feel as if they were the favorite, she was the Granny that always showed up at her grandchildren's ballgames and school events, and never forgot their birthdays ---
----- And, -- she was the mother-in-law that welcomed us into her family with open, loving arms, letting us know that we too had a special place in her heart. There are no words that will describe what a special lady she was - that word has not yet been created. I suppose the closest we could come would be to name her our “Angel On Earth”. Now Granny has another name to add to her list - it’s “Angel in Heaven”, and we know that she is already filling that role perfectly too!
Granny, we love you and thank you for making us part of your family and heart.
