Dear Pepper and Kay,
Dottie called me tonight to tell me of Anne Therese's death. I can't convey how sorry I am for this immense loss and change. Looking back I remember how much I learned from you both about parenting a child with a disability: your work to get the right education for Anne Therese made a huge difference in how I viewed my job.
I will always remember her as that beautiful little girl in the apartment where you lived when I first met you, a four year old with an enormous curiosity about people and the world around her. She was dancing on the sofa then; I'll bet she is doing that again, right now.

Dear Mr and Mrs Furey

Anne Therese was referred to me for assistance in a job search. I found her to be a delight to work with. At the time I began working with her I had minimal exposure to people with hearing impairment. Anne Therese taugth me a great deal for which I will always be geatfull.

I recommendeed Anne Therese for the Bookkeper position at my organization. She was a valued co-worker and a good friend.

Dear Mr and Mrs. Furey,

I am a college friend of Anne's. I found Anne to be a remarkable person...always upbeat no matter what life threw her way. She was patient, kind and intelligent. The world is a better place for having her in it.

My heart goes out to you for her loss. She was blessed to have such kind and loving people as you for parents.

Sincerely,

Wendy Johnston Biondo

Dear Kay and Pepper,

I had the pleasure of seeing Anne Therese only a few times and wish I'd had the chance to get to know her. It was very clear that she was deeply loved by you both. She couldn't have had more caring parents.

Kevin and I are so sorry for your loss.

Thinking of you,

Cheryl Zminda

Mr & Mrs. Furey,
I was a grammar school classmate of Anne's at St. Jerome School in the '70s. I am very sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of her and ran into her every once in a while in Rogers Park. I remember her as being one of the sweetest, gentlest girls, and she always enjoyed laughing. My prayers and thoughts are with you during this difficult time. Take care,

Dearest Furey Family- I was a classmate of Anne's at St. Jerome's those many years ago (though they seem like just yesterday)and knew her to be so smart, so observant, and so keen on all that was going on. Such a loss and so sad for your family. My prayers are with Anne and you- Michelle Malca.

Dear Kay and Pepper.
I still remember AT when you lived in that "garden" apartment. But most of all I remember her buying my beloved Cressida Toyota. Love to all of you.

Glenn and I are heartsick over this loss. Anne Therese was much too young to die. You are in our thoughts, and a candle is burning here in her memory.
