Annamae Holverstott GIBBONS Annamae passed away on Easter, April 8, 2012, surrounded by family. She was 90 years old, born on May 10, 1921 in Fairview, Coos County, Oregon. Annamae met the love of her life, Clarence Gibbons, in Seattle in 1942 while he was a Civil Defense Warden. They walked the streets together, enforcing the blackouts, and married on December 27, 1942, two weeks after they met. They enjoyed 56 happy years of marriage. Clarence passed away on July 3, 1999, but they are now reunited in the presence of the Lord. Annamae leaves behind her children, Barbara (Ron), Frances, and Thomas (Debbie), as well as her 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson. Annamae was a teacher for 25 years, and later continued to lead a very active and fulfilling life with a wide variety of hobbies. She had a deep faith in God and served her church in various capacities, from choir director to elder. Her many other talents and hobbies included gardening, weaving, writing, watercolors, knitting and crocheting, and basketry. She was truly a "Proverbs 31 woman". She was known for her kindness, positive attitude, and her willingness to get involved in the activities around her. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00pm on April 17, 2012, at Cedar Cross United Methodist Church, 1210 132nd St. SE, Mill Creek, WA 98012. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Providence Hospice of Snohomish County, 2731 Wetmore Ave Suite 500, Everett, WA 98201. Your mom was a very special Lady. I met her when Clarence was at Everett Rehab. My dad shared a room with him. I went to
Merill Gardens and visited her and we
exchanged Christmas Cards for many years.I will miss her. Lorraine

As a life long member of Lake City Presbyterian Church, I have many wonderful memories of Annamae. I was a member of the youth choir when she was director and although I did not have a good voice, she always included all of us. She was a special woman and I had so much respect for her. It was a pleasure to know her and Clarence and the family. I know that she will be missed. Sally Freeman McClure
