Anna Maurer Obituary

Anna Ruth Maurer, 89, of Allentown died Thursday, November 17, 2016 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the widow of Leonard F. "Skeets" Maurer. Born in Pitman, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Dietrich) Herring. Anna was a tax preparer for H & R Block for many years before retiring. Previously she was the assistant manager at the former Eric Theatre, Allentown; a hostess at the former Percy Brown's, Whitehall and a cashier at Dorney Park. She was a member of Ebenezer New Reformed Church, Bethlehem. Survivors: Sons, Jeffrey Maurer and his wife Christie of Emmaus, Richard Maurer of Fountain Hill; sister, Verna Wilde of Lansdale; daughters-in-law, Annette Poczak of Allentown, Mary Maurer of Quakertown; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by sons, Randall E. Maurer and Dennis W. Maurer. Services: Funeral Service 11:30AM Monday in the J.S.
