Ann Portelli Obituary

Portelli, Ann (nee Lale), age 82. Walked into the arms of Jesus on March 3, 2007. She dearly loved her late husband Albert "Tillie". She was a beloved daughter of Fabio and Mary Lale and the sister of six brothers, Primo, Secondo (Louise), Marino (Adeline), Anthony, Mondy (Dora) and Tabor (Emily). She was the devoted mother to Alan (Marveen), Curtis, and Vivian (Ron) Grella. The jewels of her life were her grandchildren, Michael, Julie, Amy (Chad) Unbehaun, Megan (Aaron) Doogs, Alissa, A.J. and Natalie. Ann shared laughter and many good times with her in-laws, Lena (Al) Girolami, Jay (Ralph) Talamonti, Alfred (Norma), and Gilda (Guido) Mascitti. Ann left behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends she loved. Ann enjoyed working at Bloom Trail High School and volunteering at St. James Hospital for many years. She brought joy and laughter to all who knew her and she will be dearly missed by many. Annie, we love you from the bottom of our hearts! Resting at Panozzo Bros. East of Western Ave.), Chicago Heights, 60411, on Tuesday, 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral Wednesday, 9:15 a.m., to St. Kieran Church, 195th and Halsted Street, Chicago Heights, 60411, Mass 10 a.m. Interment Assumption Cemetery.
