Born in Spring Green, WI, on November 25, 1914, Ann was the last survivor of the nine children born to George and Francis (Ring) Schutz. Shortly after graduating from Spring Green High School in 1933, Ann moved to Chicago, where she began working as a nanny and later met her future husband, Roland Norlin. She and Roland married February 14, 1935 and raised their two daughters, Sharon (deceased) and Sharlyne in Chicago, and Wisconsin was where they spent their summers. During WWII, Ann worked as a factory worker for Sola Electric. Following the war, she remained employed in various office positions and had a long career as a credit manager. She was also a committed parish volunteer at St. John Berchman Roman Catholic Church, in the food pantry and at fundraisers for the school. She enjoyed traveling, watching Chicago Cubs games, playing cards and spending time with family and friends, including longtime neighbor, Sharon Chamar and her family. She was an expert at crossword puzzles. Since 2009, Ann's primary residence was the San Anselmo, CA home of her daughter. Ann is survived by her daughter, Sharlyne; grandchildren, Daria Carrillo (Carlos) and Lorna (John Cunningham), Aaron, Matthew and Miles Balano; great-grandchildren, Hope Carrillo, and Nathan, Joseph "JT", Louis, Marcus and Ezekiel Balano; many nieces and nephews; and friends both in California and Chicago.
