Mrs. Nedza was one of the happiest memories of my early school years. I can almost still hear her voice, quick to make the students laugh, or poke fun at the silliness of the world. She was such a warm-hearted, wondeful library teacher, and inspired love of reading and writing over many decades full of students. I will never forget her, nor will any child who ever was her student at Commodore John Barry Elementary.
Her memory lives on in us all.

Mrs. Nedza, rest in Peace.
I will always remember her as a woman who nurtured my love of books. I entered Kindergarten already reading. Right after we sat down for her to read us a Picture book, she would swallow some water, and chew on a stick of gum as she would lead me to a book she suggested. She signed me up for the Junior Great books course, and challenged me with progressively difficult to read books. I spent Much time with her when others were creating an art project, having a music class, or celebrating a party. With Mrs. Nedza, I discovered a world of friends in the works of Louisa May Alcott, Rudyard Kipling, Laura Ingalls Wilder, I grew up with Pippi Longstocking, The Little Princess, Little Lord Fauntleroy and Anne of Green Gables. I loved the library. Every book she held aside for me to borrow that week, was a gift, still cherished after many years. Thank You.

Dear Mary, Steve, Michael and Evie, Aunt Faye and Uncle George,
I'm sorry I can't be there with you in person, but I am there in my thoughts and prayers.
Aunt Ann was so good to Mom, Dad, Carol and Jimmy when they needed help the most. I appreciated so much that she came with Mary, Steve, Michael, Aunt Faye and Mary Ann to Vic's wedding. I'm sure she felt that she and Aunt Faye were there in place of Mom and that meant so much to me.
Aunt Ann's legacy to me is the inspiring example she set of determination, responsibility, integrity and concern for others. Her spirit lives on in you and all the rest of us who have been blessed by her presence.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. I taught with Ann at Barry School years ago. She was a wonderful teacher & was loved by all the children. Her family was always her top priority & she talked about her children often. We carpooled, so I got to know Ann. That was so many years ago, but I never forgot what a special person she was.
