It's painful to loose a person so driven to be a neon light and a positive force in the universe. She was all that and more. I'm thankful I knew her.

Words cannot describe how deep Ann's passing has effected me. I worked with Ann for over 7 years at Home State Bank and she was just a ball of sunshine. I was there in the beginning stages of her cancer yet she fought on...boxing gloves and all. She had a laugh that was so infectious and will always remember the special times we had together laughing and riding a roller coaster. My heart aches as it feels impossible that she is no longer with us. I do know that she is in the arms of God watching over us all with that beautiful smile I will never forget. She will be in my heart forever and the her memory will live on forever. I love and miss you, Ann!

It is with a heavy heart that I learn of Ann’s passing. She was an inspiration to us all. She led by example with courage and fortitude. There is no one I respected more than Ann. I know that it would be her wishes that we not mourn her passing, but celebrate her life. She truly was a blessing to all she came in touch with.
My prayers go out to the family and friends of Ann, for they need the strength and comforting at this difficult time. I will miss Ann very much.
Sincerely,
Mike Houy

I knew Ann when I was a Chicago Knocker. She was on my first tour out West for a month. We saw a lot of the tourist type things together, the Badlands, The Great Salt Lake, and Yellow Stone. Annie had a wonderful uplifting spirit. That was in the early 1980's. I saw Annie last year at a reunion we had in Georgia. She told no one but me about her cancer returning. She wanted no attention or pity. She said she was going to beat it just like she had before. She gave it a good fight, but God had other plans for her. Annie we will miss you!!!
