Dear Grandma Chickie,
Thank you so much for welcoming me into your family. I was fifteen when I met you and I can still remember how special you made me feel - I never felt like an outsider with you. Thank you for sharing the gift of a big family with a lonely only child.
Let me share with you two of my fondest memories. The first was having breakfast in your kitchen, because you made bacon and eggs like no one in the world. The second was when I brought my Isaiah to meet you about two years ago. I truly believe that you shared a moment with him - your face lit up and you smiled at him and he smiled at you. God was in the room at that moment, as He was every time you shared your warm heart with others. Thank you so much for being a wonderful grandma and a blessing to me. I will miss you.

My sincere condolences to your entire family. My heart contains many fond memories of your mom as she helped my mom raise us all! I can imagine your mom and mine along with Mrs. McVittie and Mrs. Shevlin talking over old times -- they are all together again. Prayers for you all - wish I could be there - know I am in spirit! My Mother lived a long and glorious LIfe. She was the cement that held our family, large as it grew, together. Her beautiful smile always greeted everyone she met and everyone longed to see that smile.
God was good to her and gave her a long life, the last several because of age a bit
traumatic on those of us who knew her lively spirit and her gung ho attitude. So I think I can speak for my brothers and Sisters when I say, We are Glad God took her home because that is what she lived for to be with God in Heaven.
We are all sad of course for our loss but I feel the ones that feel it the most are her grandkids, great grandkids and great great grandkids. The former two have fond memories of my Mom and her love for them and her kindnesses to each of them in her own special way. She never missed their birthdays and knew everyone of them by heart. I share my condolences with my brother and Sisters and know that Chickie will be looking after us from above . We love you Mom. Give us a call one day and let us know your home safe and sound with
the Lord.
