Angelo Gobbo Obituary

Gobbo, Angelo Peter 65, of Oswego, passed away on Thursday evening, July 1, 2004, at his home. He was born on October 7, 1938, in Chicago, a son of the late Alex and Mary (Sasso) Gobbo. He married Carole Piazza on September 9, 1961. Angelo retired from AT&T in 1990, after 30 years of service. He served his country in the Marine Corp. from 1957 until 1960. His family members include his wife of 43 years, Carole Gobbo of Oswego, three children, Michael (Deirdre) Gobbo, Deborah (Steve) Allen and Julie (Peter) Shepherd, ten grandchildren, Steven, Joshua, Joseph, Bobby, Megan, Nichole, Angela, Jacob, Nicholas and Anna, a brother, Bruno Gobbo and extended family and friends. His parents preceded him in death. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, July 6, 2004, at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Oswego. The family will greet guest on Monday, July 5, 2004, from 3 until 9 p.m., at the funeral home in Montgomery. Dieterle Memorial Home, 630-897-1196.

It was with a heavy heart that we read the notice of Angelo's passing in the Sun Times this weekend. We have so many good memories of our days at St. Charles Borremeo and the Cabaret shows and dances. Thank God he gave us memories...for they are what keeps us going.
