It has been a few years since our paths last crossed, and yet i can still feel the warmth of his smile as if it were yesterday. His genuine love for all around him was undeniable. When Andy was around, we all felt good. He had a rare gift of making our days brighter and our lives happier. I am a better man for having known him, and my sadness from hearing of his passing is profound. Both my wife Maura and I loved Drew and will miss him terribly. Our greatest sympathies and prayers go out to the entire Whitley family. God Bless you all. Rest in love and peace my friend.

Dear Frances, Cullen, Rob and Family: I just can't put into words how sad I am to hear about Andy. I have such fond memories growing up in the same neighborhood with all the Whitley boys and attending Highland Methodist Church together. I can still remember your house and back yard with the tall wooden fence and all of us kids running around outside. I pray that God will comfort you in your time of need and hold you in the palm of His hand.
Love,

Whitley family<3- I was so sad to hear of Andy's passing. Y'all have been in my prayers daily since I heard. I'm remembering a poem I wrote for another friend who passed too young, called "A Life Well Spent." "But of the joys of a life well spent, the bridges built remain. Lives that are changed by a life well lived will never be the same again." I know the lives that Andy touched will always remember him. Please know my heart is with you<3

My sisters and I grew up with the Whitley boys and I am so shocked by this news. When I was about 5 or so, my mom went to visit Frances and Bob up on Ridge Road and took me and my sister Patty along. Frances told us that if we were very quiet, we could peek into the nursery and see the new baby so we quietly opened the door and there was Andy, just a few days old, asleep in his crib. He grew up to be a very fine man and a great blessing to all who knew him.
