Metanchuk, Andrew "Andy" 86, WWII Veteran, beloved husband of Ann, loving father of Helen and Andrew Jr. (Laurie), fond grandfather of Peter and Drew Metanchuk, cherished brother of the late Stella (the late Michael) Gruener, the late Peter (the late Irene), dear uncle and great-uncle of many. Visitation Friday from 3:00 p.m. until time of Panikhida at 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral service 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Orthodox Christian Church, 412 Crescent St., Wheaton, IL 60187. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Joseph Orthodox Christian Church. Funeral arrangements by Williams-Kampp Funeral Home, Wheaton. 630-668-0016.

Dear Auntie Ann, Helen & Andy,
We can't even express the words of how sorry we are with Uncle Andy's death. We all will miss him terribly. Now he's with his brother & sister, happy and free of all pain. We will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers as always.

I always felt like I was seeing an old friend whenever we got together for a burger at Andy's house. He always had a smile on his face especially when he was watching his grandchildren running around the back yard. I loved all of the stories that I got to hear about him. He will be missed by all of us.
