Colom, Andres Davila Korean War Army Veteran, beloved husband of the late Niza (nee Acevedo), loving father of former Alderman Vilma Colom, Adelmees (Tony) Quintana, Janice (Laurence) Kahn and stepfather of Ramsey and Sebastion Colom, dearest grandfather of Francesca Greene (Noel) Rivera, Omar Otero, Anthony Quintana, Jesus Quintana, Rebecca Kahn, and Daniel Kahn, great-grandfather of Nicolette Rivera, Angelique Rivera, Omar Otero Jr. and Destiny Quintana, also nieces and nephews. Funeral Saturday, 11 a.m., from Casey-Laskowski & Sons Funeral Home, 4540-50 W. Diversey Ave., to St. Mark Church. Mass 12 noon. Interment Irving Park. Visitation Friday, 3 to 9 p.m. 773-777-6300

I would like to express my condolences to the Colom family. Although I only met Mr. Colon a handful of times, my father told many stories about the old days when he and Andy were colleagues in the T.V. repair business. He called my father "Mexico" and was a very colorful and animated man. Andy and the rest of the family are in mine and my family's prayers.
