Anderson Owens Obituary

Owens Jr., Anderson J. 84 years young, was born on October 24, 1919, loving husband for 53 years to Mary Louise Owens, devoted father to Anderson J. Owens III, proud grandfather of Airielle J. Owens and Miranda S. Owens, loving uncle to a host of nieces and nephews. Succumbed to a long-term illness on April 13, 2004. He was a successful Real Estate broker in the Chicago area for over 40 years and a member of the Dearborn Real Estate Board. He was a longtime member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Visitation to be held at Slaughter and Sons Funeral Home, between 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., on Friday, April 16, 2004, 2024 E. 75th St., Chicago, 773-643-5355. Funeral Mass will be at St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church, 2132 E. 72nd St., at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Oak Woods Cemetery, 1035 E. 67th St. In lieu of flowers, the family requests the donation be made to the Alzheimer's Association in the name of Anderson J. Owens Jr., Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., 17th Flr., Chicago, IL, 60601, 312-335-8700.
