Dr. Ana Elvia Manglano Ovalle, MD, MS, MPH. Age 87. Born into eternal life April 19, 2022. Beloved wife of Dr. Jose Ignacio Manglano MD, MS. Loving mother of Dr. Ramón (Susan) Manglano, Iñigo (Barbara) Manglano-Ovalle, Ana (Brad) Couri, David (Patricia) Manglano, Miriam (Sean) Tierney and Julia (Luis) Toro. Cherished grandmother of 20. Dr. Ana Manglano was born in Bogota, Colombia, on July 23, 1934. She attended medical school at the University of Madrid, completed a master's degree at the University of Chicago, and received a Masters in Public Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Lazo de Dama of the Order of Isabel la Católica. Past President of Amigos de las America Chicago South Chapter, Spanish Association of the Midwest, and the International Womens Associates. Visitation Sunday from 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Donnellan Funeral Home 10525 S. Western Ave. Chicago. Family and friends will meet Monday directly at St. Barnabas Church 10134 S. Longwood Dr., Chicago for Mass at 11:00 AM, followed by a private family interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Ana will be missed. She was so kind to me as a new IWA member.I will never forget her graciously putting up with my feeble but insistent attempts to read a book in Spanish for the Spanish group. She was even able to keep a straight face as I spoke!!
