Alton Murphey Obituary
Alton Hawkins Murphey, 79, of Adams, died Saturday, October 31, 2015 at Christian Care Center. Mr. Murphey was born on May 20, 1936 in Robertson County to the late James Curtis and Edna Henderson Murphey. In addition to his parent he is preceded in death by his son Mark Alton Murphey.
Mr. Murphey was a veteran of the United States Army, and was a factory worker. Mr. Murphey enjoyed his grandchildren and fishing.
He is survived by, his daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa and Jeff Heatherly of Adams, and Kathy and Terry Heatherly; his grandchildren, Jessica Lynn Heatherly, Jacob Luke Heatherly, Sean Nicholas Heatherly, Ethan Cole Heatherly and Caleb Seath Heatherly, and ex-wife Donna Sircy Murphey of Springfield.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
Robertson County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
