Girdwain, Alphonse F. February 1, 2003, age 80, of Beverly Hills, FL, formerly of Chicago's Marquette Park Neighborhood. Alphonse was a WWII Army Veteran, 41st Infantry Sunset Division, CO. 162. Devoted husband of the late Bernice Girdwain, (nee Okunis), cherished father of Robert (Carol) and Theresa Girdwain, loving grandfather of Jamie, Alyssa and Jessica, dear brother of Sophie (the late Joseph) Malas and the late Frank (late Julia) Girdwain. Visitation Thursday, 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Petkus Lemont Funeral Home, 12401 S. Archer Ave.(at Derby Rd.), Lemont. Visitation Friday, 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. at the Petkus Marquette Funeral Home, 2533 W. 71st St., Chicago, to Nativity B.V.M. Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Casimir Lithuanian Cemetery. Alphonse was a member of Don Varnas A.L.
