Allen LaFleur Obituary

Allen S. LaFleur, 62, died Monday, June 13, in the Milford Regional Medical Center. He is survived by a daughter, Robyn LaFleur, of Plantation, FL; a step-son, Robert M. Prior, of Davie,FL; his mother, Harriet (Baker) LaFleur, of Whitinsville; two sisters, Thelma Schutt, of Grand Rapids, MI, and Norma Osterhouse, of Holland, MI; and grandchildren. A son, Joseph A. LaFleur, died in 1997, and a step-son, Thomas L. Prior, died in 1985. Mr. LaFleur was born, December 25, 1942, in Whitinsville, son of the late Sidney A. LaFleur, and was a lifetime resident. He graduated from Northbridge High School in 1960, and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a pipeline welder for more than 40 years, and a member of Local # 798, Tulsa OK, prior to retiring in 2003.He worked on pipeline projects throughout the country, including several years welding on the Alaska pipeline. A motorcycle enthusiast, he travelled around the country, and especially enjoyed visiting his daughter, Robyn, in Florida.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Friday, June 17, in Pine Grove Cemetery, Linwood Avenue. Calling Hours will be 6-8 PM, Thursday, June 16, in the Carr Funeral Home, 24 Hill Street. (www.carrfuneralhome.com)
