I have meet our dear Alie, some years ago after a long time not seeing her and her family. My father told me to go and meet the wife of my uncle and her children.
She will be always deep inside of my heart.
Greetings from Ali Ramadan Hano and his wife Minushe Hano.

I grew up at 43rd and Rockwell. For the past 40 years I have lived on the east coast but would always include a stop at El Hano's when I was in Chicago. In fact, I have a picture of "Mrs", as I called her, standing at her grill in my office. She is an important memory of my childhood and one that I will take to my grave. Her family should be proud of her work ethic and how she touched that community.

I loved the little restaurant she ran in Brighton Park . My dad brought me in there before I was 5 and continuously went there until she closed. No one cooked like she did , she would send me to Vans for tomato or onion if she was out of them.

I knew Mrs. Hano since I was a little girl. Even though I haven't seen her in a long time I still remember her laugh and her smile. She was a very kind person. She will be missed.

I remember when I was a kid she would offer me hamburgers and pop anytime I would stop to say hello. Always got a hug and a kiss too. The nicest person around. Will miss her and always remember her.
