Dear Rayner Family,
Howard and I just found out yesterday about the loss of your Mom, so affectionately known to our Mom, Charlotte, as "Roomie". They were MINX sisters who would do anything in the world for one another, yet did not need to be in daily contact to know of each other's unconditional love and "I got yout back" attitude. She helped us tremendously after Mom's transition from life last year. She was a great woman! WE were fortunate to have mothers like them. Cherish their memories and especially the fun times we all shared growing up and older at Union Pier, MI for those Minx summer picnics at Ewell's plade. Prayers are with you now and moving forward, although it's been a month since she passed. Charlotte and Alice are in Heaven now, catching up and likely planning a Heavenly gathering for the MINX women gathered there. I hope you are smiling. They are!

As a highschool classmate of yours, I remember your mom as warm and kind. These days are dark but in time, you will bask in the wonderful memories that have paved your life. God Bless and keep you.

Please know that your Saint Joseph Hospital Family shares in the loss of your Mother and our patient, Mrs. Alice Rayner. We will miss her "GALIANTLY" walking through our doors in the good times and in the bad times. A model patient, never complaining.Wonderful sense of humor!! :) Always a joy to serve.
On a more personal note... From my childhood, beginning at age 5, going to St. Columbanus School and growing up with Nancy as a classmate from 1st -8th grades, living accross the street from the Funeral Home at 7051 S. Calumet, Mrs. Rayner being my cousin, Adrian Barnes, "God Mother," and just knowing her these 45 plus years, she was always a role model mother and a beacon of the community. She will be missed and I will keep the Rayner Family in my prayers. Respectfully, James Butler
