Family-Placed Death Notice
Alice S. Caldwell of Hampton died February 6, 2005. Mrs. Caldwell was in Domestic Air Freight Operations with Mallory-Alexander International. Survived by daughters, Lois L. Lee of Hampton and Tina Brown Henry of Huntsville, AL; sons, Vaughn Newton of Decatur and Joel Caldwell of Hampton; two grandchildren, LLonisha Lee and Ryann Henry; father, Emmett H. Stanley, Sr. of Jonesboro; sister, Lois S. Madison of Morrow; brothers, Emmett H. Stanley, Jr. of New Orleans, LA and Vernon T. Stanley of Atlanta; loving friend and former husband, Jessie Caldwell of Albany; nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Funeral services 2 PM Friday February 11th at the chapel of Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, East Point. Pastor William Caldwell and Deacon Henry Akers officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday Feb. 10th from 6-8 PM with a Prayer Service at 7 PM. I was in Seattle last week, taking care of my elderly Aunt, who recently had quadruple bypass surgery. I was shocked & saddened to hear about Alice. I had just said "good-bye" to her Friday night, as she & Michelle left the office. When I think of Alice, I think "class". She was a classy lady with a great sense of humor & a kind word for everyone. She will definitely be missed...With loving thoughts & prayers, Cheryl Anthony

Tina, you are as close to me as the sister that I never had. I have nothing but fond memories of Mama Alice going back to high school, college, and the true adult years of you and I and the love shared amongst our families. Just know that she will be missed dearly.

I will miss talking to alice on the phone. She had a way of making people laugh. Though we have never met in person i am deeply saddend this loss. My deepest sympathy to Alice's family and friends. My thoughts are with you.

So sorry about the loss of Alice.
I will certainly miss seeing her and talking to her everyday here at work. She always had a kind word and smile to everyone. We will all miss her. May God lift you up during this time and give you peace.

Alice was one of the nicest people I have ever met. No matter what was going on, she had a smile on her face. She will be truly missed here are the office. My prayers are with her children, as I know they were very close.

I cannot begin to express the loss that I feel in the passing of my dear friend. I will carry the fond memories and wise advice with me throughout my lifetime.
