Dear Kikalas Family: I was very saddened to learn of Al's death. I attended St. Ethelreda's school with Al. Although I lost track of many friends, including Al, after the neighborhood broke up, I have many good memories of playing football and baseball with him. I am very sorry to hear of your loss.

Precious Cousin Joyce,

Please accept my deepest sympathy on the tremendous loss of a great man. My heart goes out to you and your family in this really painful time.

My memories of Alex are of a wonderful man and father. I know that you, Joyce, have lost a best friend. Anyone who ever saw the two of you together could see that. You and the children were is pride and joy.

We may never understand why God called Alex home. But we must remember that everything God does serves some purpose. Perhaps some souls are so precious that they're needed in heaven to serve God or to comfort others. I pray for you Joyce and the children to be strong, and that you get through this rough time. I pray for better days ahead. And hope you will remember that your separation is only temporary. The time we spend on earth is so short in comparison to the time we'll spend in the kingdom of heaven with Alex.

You can call upon me at any time, God be with you all.

With all my love and compassion,

Your cousin,

Sheila Kenny-O'Connell

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Mr. Kikilas passing. As a waitress in town our paths had crossed a few times over the years. He was always such a nice guy...my thoughts are with you.
