I see Alexa´s beautiful legacy at Francis W. Parker School-her art can be found throughout the halls, still. When I see it, it makes me appreciate Alexa´s creativity and beauty, still. She lit up my Advisory with her smile and that´s the way I remember her. Alexa-you will not be forgotten.

In the last few days I've been remembering a song Alexa and Jordan and perhaps a few others made up when we were in third or fourth grade. To the best of my recollection it went,

"Onomatopoeia
It's a quesadilla
I recommend-a-stia
Today.

Ooh-oo, only 99 cents.
Ooh-oo, at your local Taco Bell."

They used to sing it all the time and it's never left my head. Alexa was so kind, funny, thoughtful. She will be missed and remembered by so many.

My deepest sympathy during this difficult time. I had the pleasure of teaching Alexa math during her junior and senior years at Parker. One funny memory I have is her giving me a venus fly trap to go with the collection of plants in my classroom. The kids loved observing it and even bringing in flies for it. She loved to liven up our math class. I have many fond memories of Alexa and I am heartbroken that she left this world so young. My thoughts and prayers are with all of her family and friends.

I worked with Alexa for a short time. I remember interviewing her for a role that she was clearly bigger than and being inspired by her words and passion, so much so, that I convinced the owner's of the company to create a role just for her. I was not close with Alexa, but I knew when I met her that she was one of the kindest souls I had ever encountered. May she rest in peace and continue to shine brightly on those whose lives she touched so deeply.

I remember Alexa walking into French class carrying her portfolio filled with her outstanding sketches, wearing her (at the tine fashion-forward UGGS) and her fashion MX which expressed her passion to the entire community. But most of all, I remember a soft-spoken, kind and considerate young woman whose presence lit up the space.
I send my deepest condolences to family and friends.
