Alan Wicker Obituary
He was a lifelong resident of Union County and attended Union County High School. He had been employed at Webb's Antique Mall.
Alan was an animal lover, enjoyed antiques, fishing, shooting guns, being outdoors, working on cars, repairing and riding bicycles. He was a loyal son, brother, uncle and friend. He was a compassionate, giving and kind person.
Survivors include his father and step-mother, Tim Wicker (Neisah) of Brownsville, his mother and step-father, Marta Ball (Anthony) of Metamora, brothers, Jerad Wicker (Tina) of Victorville, CA, Jason Wicker (Jessika) of Liberty, Brandon Wicker of Brownsville, Justin Wicker (Amanda) of Connersville, Zack Chewning (Stella) of Brunswick, GA, sisters Jessica Jenkins (John) of Brunswick, GA and Christina (Ronnie) Hash of Walnut Creek, CA, step-brother and sister Dalton and Kaitlyn Ball of Brookville. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 7 pm Friday, October 4 at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Fosdick Chapel, Liberty. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 5 pm till the time of the service where memorial contributions may be made to the family to help defray funeral cost. My heart goes out to this family. I have know Alan most of his life since I was friend with his sister Jessica. Not only that but he was a child I had in my first year of working at Head Start as a teacher aide. Every time that I seen Alan I would remember the one Halloween when I dressed up as a clown, we went to pick him up for school and he got so upset because he didn't like clowns so I removed my make-up to show him that I was just Miss Wendy after that he was ready to ride the bus with me like any other day. I really felt bad that day for dressing like a clown after finding out why he didn't like clowns. Rest in Peace Alan.

I'm really glad I got the opportunity to meet Alan when I did. Whenever he was in a relationship with my best friend, I pretty much stayed over there a lot. All three of us had so many memories, stories and laughs. Its hard to believe he is gone because he was a really one of a kind guy. A really great man who was very strong. His family and close friends are in my thoughts and prayers.

Marta and family... My heart goes out to all of you.. Alan was such a special guy.. loved him like one of my kids. He was such a strong and fun loving spirit. I always enjoyed having Alan at our house. To know that he and Casie were such great friends is a bond in its own.. They had so many fun times together.. And the memories that all of us have will keep Alan's memory alive. God Bless all of you and you will all be kept in my prayers...
