I was very sorry to hear of Alan's death from my mother today. Alan was a classmate of mine from Herscher High School class of 1969. We were also in 4-H together. As I recall we even went on a date once.Alan had a great sense of humor and I will always remember him as a friend. My condolences to Alan's family.

I worked with Alan for more than 11 years and and have often reflected back on my years in the Cardiac Cath lab with a smile. Alan taught me to reflect on my actions, stay true to myself, inspired me to teach others to accept and see the positive aspects of change, and to do what I do to the best of my ability. He, and his family, are folks that I will never forget. I am thankful to have shared CCL experiences with him. He will live on in my memory of the good ol' CCL days.

Allan served with the Schiller Park Emergency Squad from 1971 through 1979. I served with him during that period of time. He was a model for all when it came to public service and dedication to the emergency care field. It was a privilege and honor for me to have served with him. The citizens of Schiller Park received Alan's best effort at all times. His energy and efforts contributed to the current full time paramedic services which all residents of Schiller Park now benefit from at this time.
