My dear Al, we have so many memories. You never treated me as a friend , always as a brother. I have some great pictures of us , but the night of Bowens prom when we doubled, I have pictures of you and Lynn together in our house all dressed up in the tuxes, and our beautiful girls. So many years, so many memories. Always in my thoughts. I miss you good buddy. Mike

A whole fast year has gone by since you left us. I have only called Lynn once since , as I did not want to be of a bother to her. I miss talking an seeing you as we had so many good times to remember. Still have pictures of us at the house before the prom at Bowen. Miss those days. We shall never forget until we meet again.

I'm writing with deepest sympathy for your family.
My name is Sherry Jaral Haligowski. My father is Mike Jaral and he was a very good longtime friend of Alan.
Although I didn't know Mr. Fishman personally, I know and have heard many stories from my dad of all the fun times they shared. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you during this very difficult time.

I thought I submitted a condolence note previously, but it's not in this queue so I'll resubmit it.
I'm a year younger than Al and was a semester behind him at Bowen High School. My main connection with him was that I succeeded him as president of Fort Dearborn AZA. He was a good model to follow and a congenial guy, easy to get along with and well-liked.
May G-d comfort all of you among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem and may you have no more sorrow.
Sincerely, Chuck Bernstein

My dearest Lynn, My very deepest feelings go out to you and the family. I loved Al like a brother, my oldest and dearest friend. We never forgot each other, and stayed friends for over 60 years. We grew up together, and of course you know and remember all that. Stay strong as I know what you are going through and wish I could be there for you. He's up there now with all the guys. May he rest in peace. Love Mike

Al, you broke my heart, my oldest friend, the life and times from Bowen till now, I shall miss you until we meet again. I know all the guys are waiting for me up there. I shall miss meeting you and Rich at Hot Dog Heaven. You will always be my oldest and best friend. Even my little puppy was born on your birth date May 17th. To many stories to recall but I remember them all. As long as you were only a phone call away I was always feeling very secure that everything was OK. Feeling a great emptiness now . 67 years have gone by and it was to short a time for us. My G-D bless you and keep you happy up there. Mike(Jerome)

We only knew Alan for a short time at the Carrington, but we were happy to be "neighbors" just down the hall, sharing meals and listening to Alan´s stories. He was very proud of his grandchildren and clearly loved his family. We send our sympathy and condolences.
