Abraham Solomon Ellis, age 87. Proud WWII Veteran, Bronze Star and Purple Heart recipient, served at the Battle of the Bulge. Devoted son of the late David and Sarah (née Grill) Ellis; loving brother of Dorothy (the late Gerald) Kasdan, Phyllis (the late Ellis) Rosenfeld and the late Honorable Herbert, Benjamin, Harry, Honorable Arthur, and Morris Ellis; dearest and beloved uncle of Lorie Kasdan-Soso, Deborah Kasdan, Dr. Joyce Rosenfeld, Diane Rosenfeld (William Fisher), David (Sheryl) Rosenfeld, Jack Rosenfeld; cherished great-uncle of many. Funeral Service was Tuesday, March 19, 2013, 10:30 am at Weinstein Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd, Wilmette, IL. Interment, Westlawn Cemetery, Norridge, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Abraham's memory may be made to the Jewish War Veterans or to SHALVA.
