Douglas Henderson Obituary

Douglas Henderson MT. PLEASANT - Douglas Henderson, 81 of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. Douglas was born in Charleston, SC, on August 8, 1942, the son of Joseph C. and Ollie Raines Henderson. Douglas is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dorothy H. Willis; and his brothers, Joseph and James Allen Henderson. Douglas is survived by his wife, Virginia B. Henderson; children, Deborah Sweeny (Emmett), David Kennedy, John Kennedy (Alison) and Kathryn Henderson; grandchildren, Ashlee Skinner (David,) Eliza & Anna Kennedy, Wyatt Kennedy, Dale Sweeny; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Lewis Henderson. The service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at St. Andrews's Church, 440 Whilden Street, in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. The burial will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 2304 N. Hwy 17, Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
